Rooftop Farm Wedding
When you’ve got a bride who’s an urban farmer, there’s essentially no venue more ideal for wedding festivities than a rooftop garden. Luckily bride Alia just so happens to work at Brooklyn Grange, a site which provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration with beau Ian and their closest friends and family. Thank you Brookelyn Photography for capturing it all!
From the photographer, Brooke of Brookelyn Photography: The Brooklyn Grange has got to be one of NYC’s most jaw dropping + unique venues. A full-time working rooftop urban farm with 380 degrees views of both the Manhattan skyline + Brooklyn + Queens. Although magical at any time of day, when the sun starts setting on the city guests can enjoy cocktail hour with quite possibly NYC’s best skyline views. Ian’s a photographer + Alia works on the farm, so I felt especially honored with the job of documenting their special celebration.
Guests stood in-between rows of produce to watch them exchange their vows… + of course an epic meal followed with King Salmon that Ian’s dad caught in Alaska + most of the salads + veggies coming right from the farm itself. Doesn’t get fresher than that! As an activity for the kids, one of the grange’s farmers gave them an educational farm tour including a visit to the chicken coop + an explanation of the rooftops beekeeping operation + beehives. Custom made seed packets and vegetables made for gorgeous + sustainable table settings. It was a one of a kind celebration that was perfectly executed and perfectly them.

What a fantastic outdoor space in the middle of the city! I adore those carrots being used as the boutonniere, what a fresh (no pun intended), lovely choice!
Thanks for sharing the above post! We are so inspired by the roof style wedding. We are thinking very similar. Just that we might even Hire Wedding Limo in Melbourne for that complete chauffeured drive back to the Airport.
