Romantic Jewel Toned Wedding
For some honest-to-goodness, girly-girl wedding inspiration, you really have to look no further than this beautiful berry-toned fête coming straight from the lens of Anna Delores. Nikki and Rob chose a day of sparkle, the dreamiest shades of pink and purple you could imagine, and a classic country feel. We tip our hats off to Vanessa Noel Events for making sure all of the loveliness of their big day was everything they imagined!
From the event designer, Vanessa Noel Events: Nikki is a girly girl–pink, sparkle, and false lashes are a few of this girl’s favorite things! She and Rob are also both small town dwellers who love the slower pace of a little country living. They chose Historic Seven Sycamores Ranch as the backdrop for their sweet wedding and we set out to glam it up just the right amount.
Nikki and Rob wanted their wedding to feel fun, vibrant, and family-centric so we chose to embrace the colors of spring and created a color palette of berry tones that was both cheerful and dramatic. We used accents of metallic gold, ruffles, and a chandelier to give just the perfect touch of girly glam. We played a lot with combining linens to provide extra interest and texture with the head table as the main focal point draped in a fun and flirty ruffled linen.
One of my favorite details was the water goblets at the head table. Nikki’s mother is an avid collector of the goblets from the famous Madonna Inn. As a nod to her, we used her collection on the head table and Nikki hand-picked a colored goblet for each member of the bridal party. As a tribute to Nikki’s German Mennonite heritage, baskets of homemade zweibach (German bread) greeted guests as they sat at their tables and each guest took home a box of pfeffernüsse, made from her grandmother’s recipe.
Rain on your wedding day is never a fun reality, but in this case, it couldn’t have worked out more beautifully. Instead of the original plan to use the garden space for dinner, guests dined in the venue’s glass barn, which provided a gorgeous backdrop of rustic elegance. The various wood tones throughout the venue–in the glass barn and in the garden, were also inspirations for keeping the design down to earth and comfortable. Accents like wood crates and dark wood chairs contrasted the metallic and luxe details for a perfectly balanced design.
