Romantic Burgundy and Pink Arizona Wedding

We couldn’t imagine a better wedding to share on the most romantic day of the year than this beauty from Rachel Solomon, Andrea Leslie Weddings & Events, and Sarah’s Garden. Filled to the brim with romantic pink and red hues, beautiful flowers, and the yummiest dessert table, it’s a Valentine’s Day dream come true for sure!

From the bride, Shawna: Dave and I met 4 years ago at my first job straight out of college, Groupon. He was the handsome coworker that helped me out and ensured I hit my goal each month. We lived in Chicago and loved the city, but called it quits after a few brutally cold winters. We found ourselves in Arizona and bought our first house together. A few years later, we took a trip to Sedona to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. Upon watching the sunset one evening, Dave got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was completely shocked, but of course said yes!

We quickly started the wedding planning, knowing we wanted to get married at El Chorro in Paradise Valley, Arizona. It is a romantic venue at the base of Camelback Mountain with breath taking views. The mountain itself makes for a flawless backdrop. We selected our date, October 22, 2016, and started the search for our vendors. We were so thrilled with each and every vendor we chose. We wanted a very timeless, classy, and whimsical day. I let my 8 bridesmaids pick out any floor length black dress they wanted, and the groomsmen wore black tuxedos. We had Sarah’s Garden do garden style bouquets with creams and hints of burgundy. They were more than I could have imagined, and many of our guests said they were the best flowers they had seen at a wedding. Ruze Cake did our cake and the most beautiful dessert bar I’ve ever seen, we almost felt guilty eating it! Everything was so delicious, and their recommendations were spot on.

My top priorities for our wedding were simple; photography and entertainment. Rachel Solomon captured the entire day so perfectly with the most breathtaking moments. We also chose Instant Classics for our band and they completely made the entire reception. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and many guests said they didn’t want to go get another drink because they did not want to miss a song! Andrea Leslie, our wedding planner, worked closely with our vendors to ensure our day went as seamless as possible; mission accomplished! Her team made the day so enjoyable and stress free. Our entire wedding day was more than we ever could have imagined, thanks to our family, friends, and amazing team of vendors.
