Romantic and Beautiful Wedding at Dana Powers House
Today’s wedding makes us think of the best that summer has to offer — striking afternoon light, easy breezy color palettes, and warm smiles all around. Cameron Ingalls captured the celebration at California’s Dana-Powers House & Barn, which boasts a seriously beautiful barn you have to see to believe.
From the bride: All I could think about for my wedding was “ethereal”. I wanted everything to be soft and neutral and romantic. That’s why we went with “oatmeal” and “blush” for the colors and went with soft textures and simple linens. The largest DIY project involved with the escort card display— my dad made the wooden structure and I attached name cards that I custom ordered from Etsy in an ombre color scheme.
Bouquet recipe: My bouquet had garden roses, lambs ear, fresh blueberries, and others.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Start early! Booking the big vendors early will really take the stress off and allow you to spread everything else. BE OPEN about who you are inviting— the guest list an be a point of contention; with parents as well. Be honest and open and don’t be afraid to be a little bit cutthroat.

Such a beautiful blog post, I’m so glad I came across your website. It’s so refreshing to see posts based around ‘outside’ weddings so to speak. Speaking of, my partner and I hired an incredible castle wedding venue at Rowton Castle – (www.rowtoncastle.com/castle-wedding-venue) but we made it our own and they treated us like royalty. Regardless of circumstance, it was definitely a day I’ll never forget. Thanks for sharing this with your readers! x
