Romantic Agoura Hills Wedding
Today’s wedding has all the bells and whistles: perfectly peach floral arrangements, a confetti toss recessional, chalkboards signs, and even an airplane banner congratulating the newlyweds. It couldn’t have been done without the talents of Chris + Jenn Photos and Styling Starts Here, whose work truly shines here:
From the bride, Melissa: We envisioned a rustic, vintage, and a sort of “gastro pub” feel or theme for the wedding. Some adjectives we would use are rustic, vintage, inviting, classy, romantic and elegant. The color scheme was mint green and burnt orange with cream accents. We are unsure of what a DIY project is so we are assuming we did not have anyone involved with the wedding.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? The most important aspect we found when planning the wedding was communicating and compromising so that we both had an influence on the general theme of the wedding. Also, giving yourself plenty of time prior to the date to get everything done makes the process of planning a wedding much more stress-free and enjoyable. And, of course, having a wedding planner to assist you along the way makes a huge difference when planning a wedding 🙂
From the stylist, Melissa of Styling Starts Here: As Hall & Oates’ “You Make My Dreams Come True” closed the ceremony, we knew this would be a fun celebration for Melissa, Kevin and their 110 guests. The couple that met online a few years back spared no creative expense when designing their dream wedding. Outdoor tenting, romantic setting, customized chalkboard art signage, Edison bulb chandelier above the dance floor, gastropub food for cocktail hour, bistro lighting, overload of candles, vintage mirror trays, a playful dessert station, wine barrels galore, the list goes on! We also had wonderful time with the bride’s parents surprising the couple with event details like an aerial signage plane that flew over the venue after the ceremony, a video montage during the reception and the father/daughter dance sung by American Idol’s, Matt Rogers.
