Spring Garden Wedding Inspiration at the Goodstone Inn
The Virginian countryside plays host to today’s pastel garden wedding design from Bright Occasions. Whimsy meets enchantment throughout this bright gallery from Lisa Blume Photography with a mix of white vintage chairs, hand-painted elements and pops of butterfly decor. The darling two-tiered confection from ButterCream Bakeshop proves that pears aren’t just for Princess Mia and her Genovian counterparts, and we are left breathless by the opulent centerpiece that appears to grow from the table itself.
High slit, v-neck and delicate lace cap sleeves with a fringed scallop cut? We give this sexy gown from Kirsten Paige an 11/10.
From the photographer, Lisa Blume Photography: We were inspired by an English garden for this styled shoot, set at The Goodstone Inn, which is located on 265 acres of rolling hills in the Virginia countryside. We chose to pair a pale blue and peach as our primary colors, accented with shades of coral, light purple and deep green.
Have we told you lately how much we adore curated gift boxes as wedding welcomes? This elegant one from Marigold & Grey comes complete with gourmet snacks, custom cookies and an illustrated guide for the weekend + area. What a special touch!
For our tablescape, we chose to do one linear arrangement of florals growing up, almost like they do in a garden. The varying shades of peach floral really pop against the very pale blue linen. And in the centerpiece, each bloom stands out with the varying hues and textures. We also used hand painted chargers, napkin rings and china from Anna Weatherley for our place settings. Her pieces are one of a kind and I love how the chargers add a perfect punch of brighter blue on the pale blue linen. The butterfly napkin rings and vintage white chairs really complete this whimsical table. Our talented floral partner also created floral columns, which could be used to mark the entrance of a ceremony or reception space.
Illustrated invites are definitely where it’s at, and we love this unique take from Third Clover with bold borders and whimsical lettering.
Okay but can we appreciate this vintage style fox broach from Hunt Country Jewelry that doubles as a show-stopping hairpiece? Loving this retro updo from Amie Decker Beauty with winged eyeliner to boot.
Pears were subtlety woven into the painted backdrop and florals. And also what inspired our beautiful wedding cake.
How GORGE are these floral columns from B Floral Event Design? Matched with romantic gold monogram signage from Meant To Be Calligraphy, we are here for it!
So much intricacy in these white cane back chairs from Something Vintage. The perfect juxtaposition against the romantic stone walls of the outdoor hideaway and the elegant golden tableware from Select Event Group, don’t ya think?
Our model is shown against a hand-painted backdrop from By Brittany Branson as a focal point for photos. The colors in the painting complimented the floral design and tablescape. I love floral wallpaper and asked a local artist to design something with an English Garden in mind!
