Organic Wedding Inspiration with Shades of Blue
Get ready for the crazy amount of beauty in this wedding inspiration. It’s being dished out from the design thanks to An Enlightened Event, the florals from Rogue + Fox Floral, and especially the couple! Many of you may recognize the ever-stunning blogger, Jenny Wu, and thanks to the lens of Anya Kernes Photography, these magical pictures are gracing us on the blog today. The styling is bliss and we’re going haywire over all of the lovely blues used and the overall result is crisp, elegant, and so modern.
From the designer, An Enlightened Event: When fashion lawyer and blogger Jenny Wu calls you up and says “I have a couple of gowns I want to model for [insert designers],” you jump at the opportunity like Anya did. Anya asked me to help style the shoot and coordinate a couple of vendors to help complete the look.
I feel that blues aren’t used enough for weddings and it is such an amazing, strong and romantic color. Brides are sometimes afraid of blue because it can be perceived as masculine but when it’s paired with white and clean lines, you can’t go wrong. I wanted to create a look that encourages and inspires couples to explore the option of this color. For the table setting, I used a linen that would provide the pop of blue that I wanted but not overwhelm the midcentury chairs and the square plates. Rogue and Fox designed a low centerpiece using neutral colors that illuminated on the blue linen. The geometric bride and groom signs from Letters To You added a gold touch to the color palette.
The watercolor cake was designed by Frost It Cakery and it was the perfect look that we needed to bring in the modern and romantic side of the blue tones. The wild bouquet from Rogue and Fox added dimension and imperfection that is absolutely beautiful.
