Oil is the New Watercolor Wedding Inspiration
Taking a moodier turn from our ever beloved watercolor style, we’re going for an oil painterly wedding inspiration with lots of greens and blues. This faux wedding event from Charlotte has the right balance of moody and delicate, dark and feminine and has us quickly favoring watercolor’s cousin.

From The Big Fake Wedding: The Oil is the New Watercolor inspiration board inspired vendors to step outside of the conventional use of watercolors. This concept was incorporated in unique ways from the bridal gown, to the table decor, to the invitation suite. It was a soft and romantic take on an artist’s wedding.
A few noteworthy elements: the bride’s dip-dyed dress, dyed cheesecloth table runners, bridal bouquet, and tea bar with marquee letters.
