Secret Garden Wedding Inspiration Meets Sophisticated Black and White

Imagine you are in a gorgeous New York garden surrounded by beautiful trees, lakes and fields of wild flowers about to marry the love of your life, and then the cutest little dog comes running towards you. Your puppy dreams have come true! New York wedding vendors came together at Glynwood to create a magical garden styled shoot complete with man’s best friend, a sweet dog! From Alicia King Photography: Beautiful Glynwood Farm, located in Cold Spring, NY is quickly becoming a sought after wedding venue to those who believe in effortlessly blending the best of  what the Hudson Valley has to offer. Sustainability, food and community. Glynwood Farm’s mission is to save small upstate farming, especially in the Hudson Valley.  What better location to host all your dearest family and friends, then in a place that believes in saving communities and bringing people together to celebrate.

 

Glynwood sits on a hilltop of over 230 private acres of cow pastures and farms.  The main house resembles European architecture with its stone facade, arched doorways and formal gardens with statue fountains.  We wanted to create a European meets Hudson Valley dining experience so we chose wood farm tables with modern metal legs. Walnut stained bentwood chairs added a hint of antique and gave it a bistro vibe.  Using potted herbs of fennel, rosemary and thyme, the overall florals feel organic & unfussy but felt perfectly welcomed amongst the formal gardens of the back lawn. Bringing in wild raspberries and blood orange slices kept the palate rich in color and the use of linen napkins and taper candles in black, added to the tabletop sophistication.

The long roman table with organic details at the place setting, beautifully planned by Monica Relyea Events, enhance the natural beauty of the surrounding woods.

Such a fun surprise pop of color at the place settings immediately draw your eyes in and tie in perfectly with the berries and citrus decor surrounding the cake.
