Nautical Wedding Inspiration

All it took was one look at New York City’s India House before Emma Cleary and Juli Vaughn Designs knew they just had to design a styled wedding shoot around it. Enter an inspired nautical wedding, which was carried through to every detail of the photoshoot — including the incredible Kelly Faetanini gown!

From the event stylist, Juli Vaughn: It is somewhat rare that a venue inspires an entire photo shoot, but India House in the historic Financial District of NYC with its antique model ships and posh maritime decor was the exception.

It is unique enough to inspire two creatives (Emma Cleary Photography and Juli Vaughn Designs) to put their talents together to create a shoot that answers the question: What would a wedding look like for a couple that loves the sea but lives in the city? It would start with the perfect sailing theme, blend the modern elegance of New York with the natural vintage twist that anything nautical evokes, and be “tied up” with plenty of blue shades and rope accent.
