Moody Pastel Wedding in an Urban Texas Space
If deep watercolors, chalky textures and flowy fabrics speak to your soul, then boy do we have a treat for you. Today’s moody pastel wedding is kissed with whimsy in the best kind of way, and we are pretty enamored with the subjects at hand. Colors bleed into one another in the marbled ceremony, and a romantic table sits against a life-sized artist’s palette in the scenes you’re about to see. Get ready to experience visual bliss!
How can we not be swept away with these details artfully crafted by Shannon Rose Events?
Let’s talk about River East though. This urban Fort Worth venue makes for the perfect textured backdrop with its raw beauty and aged charm.
The flower-filled garland from Lush Couture Floral practically dances off this lavender and blue marbled ceremony backdrop from Karen Ducker. Our hearts are beating faster with this design.
Gorgeous handwritten paper goods from Pink Champagne Paper add an element of storybook perfection in this love story.
And this handpainted cake from The Butterfly Cake Factory with deep pinks and silver foil points directly towards heaven.
Allen Tsai Photography captures romanticism, movement and detail in these gorgeous shots!
We’re crushing hard on the details of this plunging neckline Alexandra Grecco gown from Lovely Bride – high slits, low backs and hand embroidered hems for the win!
The groom looks pretty dapper in his look from the Black Tux too!
With fine pieces from May I Serve U and Shag Carpet, we’re not far off from proposing to the table itself.
From Shannon Rose Events: I love creating design concepts with themes that one wouldn’t necessarily think work together. Lately, I have been inspired by moody themes, but wanted to evoke that same overall feeling in a shoot by using pastels and unique textures instead of dark color tones. The venue’s textured walls, outdoor setting, and beautiful combination of dusty and pastel colors was the perfect backdrop and setting for this “Moody Pastels” styled shoot. Every wall was uniquely different and helped create the perfect transition from one scene to the next.
During the ceremony, the bride and groom stood in front of a large hand-painted backdrop with lush organic greenery mixed with florals at its top and bottom. Ghost Chairs filled the rows and helped the focus be on the couple and the unique venue, and was the perfect modern & romantic touch to the ceremony scene. As the bride and groom exited the ceremony, they took a few minutes to savor the moment before heading to the reception. I love the way her dress “flowed” from one scene to the next!
The reception tablescape was filled with dusty colored florals, large white pillar candles, a gray raw silk runner, and white china. The gray farm table allowed the table décor to be the focus, while also being the perfect neutral color for this moody pastel theme. I wanted for the majority of the candles on the table to be pillar candles instead of tapered because it created a more “moody” feel, and the raw silk runner was the perfect romantic touch.
As we transitioned to the end of the night, the cake was the perfect ending! It was placed on an acrylic table with dusty rose fabric and tall tapered candles. The metallic and marble like texture at the bottom layer coordinated with the venue’s textured walls perfectly. The couple is shown soaking in the last few moments of the night sitting at the table, and walking out of the reception with excitement for what the future holds!
