Modern Tropical Wedding Inspiration with a Living Wall

Today’s styled shoot was already pretty incredible with its lush living wall, striking tropical inspired floral arrangements, and a seriously stylish wedding party, but the talented team of Anastasiia Photography, Catering by Corey, and Springvine Design turned it up to 11 by adding in some live snakes from a local serpentarium! From the event designer, Catering by Corey: I have an affinity for bold, unexpected wedding details. When I was dreaming up the shoot, I had a jungle-inspired exotic shoot, with a lush living wall, beautiful greenery woven hanging rings and stunning pops of color from the birds of paradise flower swaying in my head. I wanted to go far, far away from soft hues and succulents and ignite a fire of wild ideas. The fierceness coming out of the bride’s eyes while holding the albino boa constrictor is exactly what I was going for. With the snakes slithering around the living wall, the brightly colored feather bow ties and the birds of paradise flowers flying around, for a second, you feel as if you’re in the middle of the wild, witnessing the marriage ceremony of an exotic prince and princess! I can’t express to you how much fun this shoot was to create and how each vendor stepped out of what they might regularly do to create a daring and bold design.

We’re utterly smitten with these braided updos for the bridesmaids — we even spy a bit of crimping on the ‘do on the left, which is a great way to add some extra texture! For an even more dramatic and voluminous look, add temporary hair extensions.
