Modern Grecian Inspired Wedding Ideas

Today’s wedding inspiration shoot came from an appreciation of the venue’s Greek Revival architecture, which sounds like a fab place to start if you ask us. The talented team of vendors including Lauren Lee Photography, Auburn & Ivory Creative, and State & Arrow Design Co. worked up beautiful scenes full of romance and beautiful floral inspiration, right down to the beautiful ceremony backdrop that mixes a botanical arrangement with whimsical draping fabrics. We can’t think of a better note to leave on for the weekend!

From the photographer, Lauren Lee Photography: The Ohio Statehouse’s Greek Revival architecture inspired me to dream up a twist on a modern Grecian-themed wedding. Incorporating laurel leaves, pops of gold and a bright color palette into the clean-lined space was a must. Pairing the gold with copper accents — the cake stand and the piping — unified the theme with an understated elegance. The pink, orange and striking deep cranberry red accents set the tone for a romantic spring wedding.We chose the elegant Xant Aire Barcelona wedding gown for its empire waist, long flowing fabric and leafy details. The bride wore a BOHINDI Bride birch leaf and pearl headband tucked into the back of her whimsical updo. The models (real-life newlyweds) were smitten with the opportunity to do another spin on their recent wedding day, and their enthusiasm truly made this shoot an absolute joy to capture.
