Modern Farmhouse Wedding with Organic Details
When your wedding planning process starts off with a proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower, it’s a no-brainer that your wedding will end up carrying that super romantic feel all the way through the night. Corrina and Isaac’s Texas farmhouse wedding had tons of organic details, romantic soft pink blooms, and beautiful wooden accents peppered throughout the day, thanks to Jenna Lynn Events. Mustard Seed Photography, thank you for capturing it all!
From the bride, Corrina: My husband, Isaac, and I first met when we were in elementary school. Eventually in high school we became best friends that quickly turned into more. After being together for a few years, Isaac surprised me with a getaway to Paris, France! I had no idea that I would be proposed to in front of the Eiffel Tower by my first love but there he was down on one knee. I couldn’t say yes fast enough! We immediately started the wedding planning process and knew that we wanted to be married as close to Houston, where our love story began, as possible.
Tucked away in Montgomery, Texas we discovered a white farmhouse that hadn’t even been built yet. When we went out to tour the venue it was basically just a frame but standing inside of what would be the reception space we looked at each other and knew that this was our venue. Finally two months before our wedding the venue was complete and we toured it for the first time. We were stunned by the venue especially the marble detailing, shiplap walls, and white space. We saw the entire venue as a blank canvas that we could decorate in blush, gold, and grey. We wanted our wedding to feel very organic so we included mainly greenery with pops of blush florals throughout the venue. To tie in the marble details of the venue we included marble table numbers and a marble cake with gold accents. To keep our wedding feels organic, we included calligraphy details and laser cut wood place cards.
We wanted our wedding to be unique so we included many DIY projects. Isaac and my father created a wooden table that held the programs as well as tiny boxes that held handkerchiefs during the ceremony. We created budget friendly centerpieces on half the tables that included terrariums filled with twinkle lights and greenery. A wooden board was created with polaroids of how our love had grown throughout the many years. One of the most important aspects of our wedding was to incorporate our daughter, Ava. She was with me the entire time I got ready, she shared a similar dress as mine, and we danced the night away with her. We feel so blessed that we got to experience such a magical day.
