Mint and Peach Ontario Wedding
One of my absolute favorite color combinations will always, always be mint and peach. Something about this duo always screams fresh, fun, and flirty, but in the most sophisticated of ways. Chupp Photography captured a bride and groom who embraced this color palette with a touch of whimsy and handmade flair. We love bride Alexandra’s idea to have a tea bar for guests — what a great way to make your day smell heavenly!
From the bride, Alexandra: We were going for a DIY, whimsical, laid-back wedding filled with unique touches that showed off our personalities. Some adjectives I would use to describe our wedding are whimsical, vintage, casual, DIY, eclectic and fun. We originally said we weren’t going to do a colour scheme, although, throughout the planning process mint, peach and white ended up being our go-to choices.
I can’t even begin to list all of the DIY projects! The wedding was pretty much entirely DIY. My favourites consisted of designing and making the loose leaf tea bar (because who doesn’t love being surrounded by all those delicious smells?!), making the pie pops, and thrifting all of the place settings and décor items!
The biggest DIY project we took on was clearing out a collapsed barn, salvaging the useable barn board and using it to build all the tables, benches and the bar! We spent an entire weekend with SO many friends and family helping to clear the barn, and Jordan and my Dad (along with many who came to help them out) spent countless hours building everything. People kept telling us we were crazy whenever we mentioned it before the wedding, but we are so thrilled with the results that it was worth all our time and effort!
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Take time to ENJOY the planning process. Although it’s hard not to just constantly count down to the big day, the engagement and planning part of it is just so much fun! Take time to enjoy the little things like working on a project together or choosing what music you will walk down the isle to. Half of the fun is the excitement and anticipation of it all, so make sure you soak it all in!

love the shoes and her birdcage veil. the pup is too cute with his bowtie and glasses!
It is so amazing to see Alex and Jordan’s wedding featured on the blog…yay!!!
I would like to make a correction regarding the credit for the dotted tulle veil. I noticed that on the credits it says the veil is from Ruche; that is not correct. I had the pleasure of handmaking it for Alex. My company is Posh Veils: http://www.poshveils.com
