MyMoon Brooklyn Wedding
Just when I think Matt Miller couldn’t top himself, he does it again. This gorgeous Brooklyn wedding has all of my favorites things – it’s fun, laidback and handmade with lots of heartwarming touches. We envisioned a warm and simple environment with a coziness for our guests. We knew this would be our chance to be around all of our loved ones at once and we wanted to create a special feeling environment. It also reflected our personal aesthetic as well. The rope was a nod to our love of water and sailing.
We used natural, wooden, and organic materials. Aside from the wood and rope we used touches of grey and coral. My fiance tied tons of monkey fists knots with rope and we used antique sugar molds, cheesecloth and airplants as the main decorations. My parents were a huge help collecting all the props. My maid of honor helped me make a garland of ribbon that hung in the entry. We used extra ribbon as accents on the aisle and the bride and grooms table. I asked friends and family set up decor for me and they literally read my mind and gave me my dream wedding. I am so lucky and very grateful!
We decided that we would love to get married in the neighborhood we live in. Our loved ones are so spread out to it was important to have them all gather and get to know the place we call home, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When we stumbled on MyMoon and it was perfect. Beautiful outdoor patio and old brick walls. The staff was perfect. They are experienced with weddings and took great care of us. Kenan is the wedding guy there and he is amazing.

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now?
Just to not lose focus on the point of the celebration. You will have an endless stream of ideas and tiny details and you can easily become obsessed with the enormous to do lists. You have to sometimes be willing to prioritize and let some things go so you can stay focused on all the love. It will all come together in the end. I promise!

Gorgeous location for a New York wedding!
I love how this wedding is soft and romantic, but has a bit of an urban edge to it! Great feature. Also, I think those large blossoms in the brides boquet are to die for (pink)- any idea what kind of rose they are?
love the venue!
The urbany-garden feel of this wedding is so nice!
I very love the venue!
I’m drawing so much inspiration! Does anyone know the material used for the table runners?
love the use of airplants!
OMG! We picked the same song for First Dance! Love it!!!
I love all the personal touches made on this wedding! Especially the bags with the map on them! Where did you have these customised?
This is exquisite; just perfect. Clean, fresh, pretty and I think this might be the template for a future August wedding this year..
