Masculine Edgy Wedding Inspiration
As soon as the event designers behind Some Like it Classic saw their venue, their entire vision fell into place — an edgy and masculine wedding with a bit of grittiness thrown in there. If you think this would be difficult to turn into something beautiful and inspiring, let Brushfire Photography, Carte Blanche Floral, and the rest of the vendors prove you wrong!
From the event designers, Some Like it Classic: I wanted to see something different. Don’t get me wrong, I am obsessed with all things blush, gold and romantic, but I was seeing it everywhere. I wanted to do something masculine, edgy and unique. With the amazing setting and backdrop of the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, I was instantly inspired. The styling and décor stemmed from a color schematic inspired by the rich surfaces of leather, wood, and mixed metal, put together with unique prints and softened with romantic florals. It all started with a distinct pattern of a bullhead on a napkin…
This wedding styled shoot was inspired by masculine tones and organic elements with touches of edgy bohemian design. Subtle elegant touches brought a sense of wedding charm to the mix, and played off the masculine style in the stationery pieces (created by Idieh Design) as well as the clothing and overall color palette. As we began working on some of the elements, we also relayed the vision to all of our vendors, who took it to the next level!
The uber talented team at Brushfire Photography love of film photography (it is their favorite medium to shoot in) added to the gritty vibe we were going for. Their ability to capture the details as well as the love of the couple is truly an art! The gorgeous flowing centerpieces and bridal bouquet were hand crafted by the always-amazing Carte Blanche Design and of course the exquisite cake by Haley at Heart Sweet Cakes! She was able to mirror the edgy, masculine look of the shoot by using unique texture, materials with marble and metal tones. In addition to this finished setting, our wonderful models, Michelle and Greg, were gracious enough to be a part of this amazing shoot. Being a real couple was the perfect opportunity to achieve true love in our images. We had so much fun and enjoyed working with this wonderfully talented group of vendors!
