Majestic Castle Wedding Inspiration with Celestial Accents

We’re always up for some beautiful wedding inspiration at a castle, especially when it’s accompanied by ethereal moon and star decor. Kristen Booth Photographer, The Blushing Details, and Soiree Design and Event created this scene inspired by modern fairy tales, using a beautiful gown by Hayley Paige to create a dream-come-true bridal look. Let’s jump on in to the romance!

From the event designer, The Blushing Details: Inspired by her love for fairy tale stories, Kristen Booth of Kristen Booth Photographer found a truly majestic castle known as The Enchanted Forest hidden within the hillside of Fallbrook in Southern California. She told me the sweetest love story that she ever knew was of these 2 owners of that castle who also happened to be high school sweethearts. As their love blossomed and they eventually got married, the husband promised his wife that he will build her her very own castle and he made good on that promise. One day as they were celebrating their wedding anniversary, they threw a huge party with all their closest friends and family. Everyone in attendance was so amazed by what he had built for his wife that they encouraged them to open their doors so other couples could fulfill the dream of their own fairy tale wedding. 18 years later, they’ve now made it possible for every couple to have a fairy tale wedding at The Enchanted Forest.

Given Kristen’s vision for wanting to create an authentic fairy tale elopement styled shoot with a real couple, The Enchanted Forest location easily encapsulated the essence of truly bringing that to life. As a wedding planner and designer, I also wanted to help Kristen achieve that goal by incorporating my own skills while taking the lead in crafting that truly Modern Celestial Aesthetic; something key to the essential part of the fairy tale story. The venue is surrounded by striking gray stones that hearkens back to medieval times but with a personality all its own. I wanted to convey the more subtle color tones of that time period by featuring recognizable hints of blue texture that could literally dance under moonlight mixed with the weathered look of the gray stones to reflect a truly celestial look. Soiree Design and Event were able to create flower arrangements featuring vibrant muted pink, peach, and blush greenery spread throughout the venue and down the main staircase, which were breathtaking to say the least. It was a real grand entrance fit for a Prince and Princess.

With the help of Madam Palooza Vintage Rental, we were able to fill the space with many elegant details and glamorous decor. We incorporated an atmosphere of the heavens at night with the Moon and Stars along with our stunningly tall flower arrangement that was featured prominently on the reception table. Each corner had a celestial element that included escort cards and invitation suite created by Hanwriting all the way down to the blue velvet vow book by Wedding Story Writer. We topped it all off with a stunning wedding cake designed by Laura Marie’s. A truly romantic moment that stood out from the shoot was when our couple was able to sit inside a life-sized moon created by Paper Moon Shoppe placed on the entrance way to the venue. It was such a stunning image that literally looked like a piece of fine art fit for a museum.

Our real couple’s celestial day look was “Beautify” by Beauty by Bon Bon. Kristen Booth Photographer beautifully captured the essence of the style shoot throughout the day highlighting all the stunning details. My personal favorite of those details was the romantic dresses by couture designer, Hayley Paige along with the perfect headpiece by Be Something New. This was also matched with the perfect rings by A Sweet Pear. The overall aesthetic with all these pieces in place harmonized amazingly well throughout The Enchanted Forest venue that made for a truly magical shoot. The amazing group of vendors that came together to create this stunningly elegant and artistic shoot from the smallest of details to the more elaborate final touches, went above and beyond to craft a well-orchestrated and timeless affair. I’m absolutely “over the moon” and beyond excited with how amazingly well the visions of everyone involved manifested into what this shoot ultimately became. Magical.
