Magic Ballerina Wedding Inspiration

Ready for a bit of edginess in your day? We sure hope so, because this London shoot from Jessica Withey Photography, Mr & Mrs Unique, and The Bijou Bride is filled to the brim with it. The rock ‘n’ roll vibe is evened out with lots of pink and a good dose of femininity too, making everything perfectly balanced and totally enviable — just look at that balloon and flower arch!

This shoot is a collaboration between Erica from Mr & Mrs Unique (an alternative and unique UK wedding directory) and Alex from The Bijou Bride, one of the UK leading wedding stylist and planners. Alex (The Bijou Bride) and Erica (Mr & Mrs Unique) wanted to create a bridal shoot that stepped outside of the norm, something girly but with a cool, edgy, wild edge.

Aynhoe Park embodies British eccentricity at its best, something we wanted to encapsulate in a really feminine way with this shoot. Setting our own unique decor and installations within the art and curios filled spaces of the house. Contrasting bold statement design such as the incredible balloon and flower arch Bubblegum Balloons & Early Hours Florist created amongst the stuffed rocking horse zebras, Union Jack flags & larger than life statues.

The mood board created for our dream team of suppliers encouraged them to contrast softness with edgy design, think pretty but in an unexpected way. A theme throughout the shoot from the blousey roses paired with pink cacti to the voluminous tulle skirts worn with bold ear cuffs and layered rings. The best parties are not only a feast for the eyes but also the senses so it was important to provide inspiration for show-stopping food and drink too.
