Why I chose Oheka:

I’ve always been a nerd for fairytales and fantasy since I was a kid (I blame growing up on Disney and 80’s cartoons). When I was a little girl, I matter-of-factly used to tell my dad I was going to get married in a secret castle in a forest. After getting engaged, my fiancé Patryk and I began looking at many venues on Long Island New York. I had a venue chosen and was ready to sign when my dad surprised me and took me to Oheka Castle. Hidden in an unlikely place, when I came up to the castle, I felt like I was suddenly transported to an estate in France. After getting over the shock that this was real life, we began planning. Incorporating the Enchanted Forest theme into the castle as much as my budget could allow, I chose green and gold for my colors. Robert Herzog from Pedestals Floral Decorators was outstanding and beautifully brought my vision to life with lots of greenery such as moss and eucalyptus. Rick Bellando (Sales Manager) and Kathy Thompson (Banquet Manager) were fabulous and truly made this whole day possible. I can’t thank them enough. The food was extraordinary and beyond anything, I could have imagined, especially the dessert hour where Oheka’s exclusive Pastry Chef Daniel Andreotti stunned everyone with a whole room full of extravagant gourmet desserts. But most of all we were lucky to have the kindest and amazingly talented team for our photographer and videographer. Kristen Booth and Forged in the North has forever captured this Once-in-a-Lifetime experience for us gifting us with beautiful memories for the rest of our lives. We were treated like royalty and the experience was truly a blessing and so unbelievable. We are truly grateful for everyone that played a part in this modern day fairytale.
