Ultra Romantic Rainy Day Wedding at Oheka Castle

This ultra romantic wedding at Oheka Castle is pure elegance. Dripping with white roses, this rainy day wedding oozes luxe sophistication and we can’t help but love the polished look. Despite the rain pushing the ceremony indoors at the last moment, Jennifer B. Events and Diva Blooms made for the dream team and beautifully executed a wedding fit for a queen. These gray skies made for a dreamy atmosphere photographed by The Lockharts that is simply majestic.

From the photographer: There are times where things don’t go according to plan but having an amazing team of talented vendors can certainly change the outcome of the unexpected. Sandy and Aaron wedding at Oheka Castle is living proof of this. It was just hours before their wedding when the weather in the east coast began to deteriorate quickly. The outdoor ceremony was already set up, the guests were just starting to arrive when as a team we had to make the decision to relocate their carefully curated outdoor ceremony indoors. The careful planning by Jennifer B. Eventss and the floral team at Diva Blooms quickly began the arduous task to make sure the fairytale wedding transitioned to the indoor facilities of the beautiful refined chateau which dates to 1919.

Aaron and Sandy actually met at work. Aaron hired Sandy for her first job while she was in college. He was the manager. However, he would spend all day by her side! eventually their love started to grow and they went on their first date. Their first date was at Aaron’s old favorite Mexican restaurant. He invited her here because Sandy had challenged him to a tequila drinking contest. “which she lost!” Aaron stated.

When asked how was getting to know him, Sandy states, “It was the funnest time, Aaron is a super funny and smart guy, therefore I was always learning and discovering new things about him, all while discovering NYC because he loved showing me around.” Aaron’s response was, “From the first moment I saw Sandy, her beauty captivated me. Through time we got to know each other more and more, and learned that we had so much in common. She made me feel complete and happy every time spent with her. We have grown together so much. Love her!”

The details were straight out of a fairytale book. Starting with a custom made dress by Viero Bridal paired with Manolo Blahnikh Hangisi shoes. As soon as we walked in to the bridal suite we knew this was going to be a splendid wedding. Jennifer B Events was so gracious and had everything ready for us to document the day. Her planning skills were superb and everything unfolded magically.

The Glam Team by Dina took it out of the park with the beautiful hair and makeup. Florals by Diva Blooms were stunning and we were just head or heels when we took a peek out of the window of the bridal suite to the gorgeous circular floral arch that was being designed. As if this wasn’t already incredible when we stepped into the Terrace room there were beautiful flowers surrounded everything beyond imagination. The cake was a piece of art designed and created by Daniel Andreotti. The cake was paired with a lavish cascade of roses and greenery that made it look ultra romantic.
