Al Fresco Wedding Bursting with Pink Hues on Italy’s Lake Como
Ciao, bella! This gorgeous destination wedding inspiration on Lake Como is like a Dior masterpiece that we will be daydreaming about for years to come. Basically Véronique Lorre has created our Italian dream with the brightest pink hues. Suddenly we find ourselves googling flights to Italy because how gorgeous are these photos from Purewhite Photography?
From the photographer: Inspired by the iconic Nathalie Portman and Dior brand world, I wanted to create a destination wedding shoot with a timeless, glamour feminine style and ethereal at the same time. With Elisa and Adriano from Purewhite Photography, Italian dream x french touch was then the started point of this editorial.
The majestic Lake Como with its beautiful Italian villas hung on the mountainside combined with the “family house” feeling of Villa Regina Teodolinda created a unique natural and romantic environment to celebrate a couple togetherness. We made the story around this playful bride, enjoying the last moments before the first look and the romantic dinner with her loved one by the lake.
Emily, Dadda and Anka both created a first natural & nude feminine look for the boudoir session with Eliza in her elegant and delicate black lace lingerie of Cléophina by So helo. The second look was soft and romantic with a loosely gathered low bun that complimented perfectly with the fashion Mira Zwillinger‘s bridal dress and Bella Belle Shoes the bride wore for a timeless elegant & glamorous style.
With his classic outfit from Sanvenero, the groom has a chic black tie look. If you are looking for something romantically different from pastel colors, you could consider infusing some french “Dior vibes” in the design and floral styling as we did here: The natural destructured organic shape and bright pink colors of the bouquet, combined with Allegoria Textile hand-tied silk ribbons reflects the personality of a modem romantic daring bride.
The breathtaking view on Lake Como was the perfect background for a romantic dinner al fresco. In a shade of light and bright pink, the table was designed as a reflection of the colors of Italian stucco walls while infusing a fresh cut flowers garden feeling and some french elegance touch: tulle fabric table runner and a mix of classic floral plates and glasses with minimalist golden flatware from Tableset Rental brought this modem romantic style to the scene. As, I wanted the flowers to look natural and highlight the beautiful blue backdrop of the lake, I combined garden roses, carnations and scabiosa in an organic a “foam free” s table runner.
The beautiful handmade calligraphy of Victoria Fiaretti provided us with some of beautiful hand calligraphed stationery which perfectly complemented this romantic shoot. To highlight the Dior vibes inspiration of the shoot, Qualcosa di Dolce created a stunning cream textured cake with painted pink flowers in an impressionist style.
We are L-O-V-E in love with this al fresco destination wedding along Lake Como. I mean seriously, what’s not to love. Let’s travel on down to southern Italy for this gorgeous sun-kissed wedding that will take your breath away.
