Laid-back Sonoma Wedding at Home
Few things make me happier than a couple that isn’t afraid to buck tradition, like this no-shoe-wearing bride and no-tie-wearing groom. The duo held a super-chic wedding in the backyard, bringing along the talented Let’s Frolic Together, A Savvy Event, and Poppystone Designs to pull it all off. A fresh color palette of light blues and greens ties it all together perfectly!
From the photographer, Let’s Frolic Together: Gorgeously grand and yet utterly laid-back. This at-home vineyard backyard wedding that spanned two different dazzling homes gave me the warm fuzzies in the biggest way. There was a stunning mix of succulents and white florals, and the bridesmaids’ mismatched minty/sage dresses were stylishly on point. The stunning wooden arbor that covered the entire reception, was built from the ground up for this wedding. From the copper tables, to the copper flatware, to the ocean blues of napkins, linens, and invitations, this wedding had so much style.
There was an equal amount of laughter as there was tenderness and tears. Ian and Hill are just so fun together — they don’t take themselves too seriously, and I loved seeing how their silly natures came through on their big day. From his anti-tie commitment to her anti-shoe commitment, they were oh-so themselves, and we were all the better for it. I think what I love seeing best is a community of people who are truly just utterly overjoyed to help celebrate their besties/family as they tie the knot. What an inspired and inspiring wedding weekend!
