Heirloom Inspired Island Wedding
Oh how sweet is this wedding! We were instantly taken aback by all of the wonderful details and overall style of this cool wedding in Maryland. L. Hewitt Photography snapped the big day and Eventi by Diana allowed all of Bryn and Dylan’s concepts and ideas unfold. At the center was a very organic idea, incorporating wood elements, deep hues of red and plum, and neutral shades of beige. From this, ideas began to pop up and other additions started coming out of the woodwork. Before long, this seaside wedding had unique details like artichokes, brass tags, custom dresses, and heartfelt touches of family heirlooms laden into the whole wedding day. This wedding is an absolute wonder!
From the wedding designer and floral designer, Diana of Eventi by Diana: Bryn and Dylan are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Bryn came to me with an amazing concept and let me run with it. We were able to design every detail, from the bouquet brass tags down to the wood printed menus. We pitched the idea of artichokes to her and she and her mom fell in love with it. We used them in the envelope liners and then again at each reception place setting.
The bride wore her family six pence in her shoe and carried her family heirloom handkerchief down the aisle. The flower girl dresses were custom made by a local seamstress based on a design we found online. The pleats on the back were a must have! The fabric for the bowties was also sourced and we sent them to The Tie Bar to have them made. The ceremony program was hand painted by Poppy & Scooter. Family traveled from all over the country and stayed at various bed and breakfasts on the island.
