Today’s styled shoot — sent over by the talented Christa Taylor Photography and Designs by Hemingway — shows that you don’t have to be in a certain location to be inspired by it. This particular styled wedding uses Hawaii as an inspiration point, letting the breezy land influence relaxed style with heaps of organic influence.
From the event designer, Designs by Hemingway: With destination weddings on the rise, we wanted to capture the concept of bringing two worlds together in one artistic tableau. Artists separated by an ocean came together to form this “Portland meets Hawaii” wedding inspiration. Particularly designed for every destination bride who wants to bring some personal hometown flair to her tropical soiree.
Portland designer Tie that Binds created the invitation suite highlighting bold tropical colors complimented by the soft florals from Oahu based designer Designs by Hemingway. Teal, peach, mustard all formed a romantic and sumptuous color palette even down to the couture wedding gowns from Portland designer Claire La Faye. One of my favorite details, the steal-worthy tequila favors were inspired by the once profusion of fresh coconut on the island, and bottled by a local Portland brewer.
