Handcrafted Saskatchewan Wedding
From Ontario to Saskatchewan, Canadian talents are on a roll today on Ruffled! Amber and Josh know the power of using large scale quantities. It is one of our favorite big bang for your buck ideas that we will never tire of seeing. bud They hung over 600 paper lanterns on the ceiling of their venue, and the images that Rowan Jane Photography captured make them magical.
Our wedding favors small jars of jam that we made with the help of family & friends. Then my father, Rick, laser engraved all of the jars with Josh’s and my name, as well as date. The venue took forever to set up and took many hours from family, friends and the decorators. The ceiling ended up having over 600 paper lanterns! To start the wedding off we wanted guests to sign something different than your typical guest book. To stay with the theme, I decided that we should create a ‘guest quilt’. in which guests signed pre-cut pieces of fabric which will later be sewn together to create a beautiful piece of art. The chalkboards and frames were handmade with a chalkboard paint recipe you can find here.
