Costa Rica Destination Wedding
When Aimee of Tropical Occasions and Julie of Comfort Studio shared Casey and Andrew’s nuptials, we knew this destination wedding in Costa Rica was going to be glorious. The blush pink + dove gray + aqua was the perfect palette for a location drenched in dreamy light. And a little glitter is always a good thing.
Andrew and I began working together back in 2008. We would innocently flirt at work functions and on ‘accidental’ Starbucks run-ins, but didn’t start dating until about a year later. We were pretty much inseparable and realized we enjoy all the same things and really hit it off. Everyone was extremely excited and supportive of our undercover workplace relationship. Why Costa Rica? Why not?!? We had talked about the idea of a destination wedding, but hadn’t figured out a specific location. Once I spoke with Aimee from Tropical Occasions I knew that if Costa Rica was the place, she was my girl! She is fast talking, detail-oriented and gets right to the point! She gave us a few venues to scout on our vacation so we set aside a day for a venue bar crawl. We hopped from bar to hotel to beach all the way from Playa Conchal to Tamarindo.
We were able to see a wedding taking place at Reserva Conchal and we both knew that was where we would kick off our life together! We returned from our vacation the planning began. We selected a date, had a wedding planner and the rest is history! Design: Andrew and I bought a home right around the time we got engaged. We realized during that time that we really have the same taste! We love the reclaimed, vintage look with a little glitz (aka glitter). The most important thing to me was that the wedding looked like us and was a fun, casual day full of love. I would lay awake at night thinking about cornhole boards, glitter letters and which sash I should wear with my reception dress. I did a lot of DIY which I toted to Costa Rica in one of my 7 pieces of luggage. DIY really makes the day special to know that you put so much time and effort into making everything your own. When I saw the final product I was overwhelmed with excitement. It was exactly as I envisioned and Aimee and her team nailed it! The day could not have been more perfect!

So many lovely details – cannot keep my eyes of that chevron-patterned runner and bunting. A great choice for this chic wedding!
Wonderful! I love this wedding! You are an amazing couple!
If only we could all have this perfect destination wedding. Detailed, clean and beautiful. That chevron table runner is calling my name….
What a lovely day to be featured on the fabulous Ruffled- and with one of my favorite weddings!
LOVED this bride and had so much fun collaborating with her on the design. It turned out beautuful and it was simply a joy making it come to life for such an incredibly deserving couple. So nice to see it featured! Muchisimas Gracias to Ruffled from Tropical Occasions and huge thanks to my lovely amiga Julie Comfort of Comfort studios for her awesome photos!
Love the up-lighting and cute table decor.
What a beautiful wedding, such a lucky couple!
I am loving the current trend of custom wedding signage and i think this bride and groom had some great, creative ideas for signs and labels that I’m sure the guests really appreciated!
Thanks so much for sharing a lovely wedding.

Completely smitten with this wedding! You can’t miss with a Costa Rican backdrop. The colors and decor so thoughtfully and well-planned.
I love every single detail about this. If I named any of my favorites I’d have to name them all!
Beautiful!
Where did the bride get the dress? I don’t see any information on it, but I think it’s stunning!
Thanks!
Those pink drinks look really good! Great photos, lovely wedding.
