Getting Ready Bridal Inspiration and a Wedding Brunch
On a day as potentially stressful as your wedding, I can’t imagine a more perfectly relaxed way to prepare for the day than throwing a little “getting ready brunch.” That was the concept behind today’s shoot from Emily Millay Photography and A Charming Fête, who used calming pastel tones and forever-classic gold as the color palette. We’re all positively ga-ga for the bride’s vintage robe!
From the event designer, Lisa of A Charming Fête: We wanted to capture those vulnerable moments of the bride getting ready for her big day as well as the beautiful details of a formal brunch delivered to her room. Her stunning bouquet, a blend of white peonies, cappuccino ranunculus and the palest lavender sweet pea against an heirloom gold trinket box, vintage clock collection and gorgeous jewels. The bride is clad in a gorgeous ecru lace dressing robe from the 1920s, lending the perfect peek of sexy in the most timeless fashion. This is a truly glamorous (and seriously pretty) way for the bride to begin her wedding day. There are some elegant boudoir shots included as well.
So pretty, getting ready is such an important part to a brides big day and she looks so relaxed and natural.
I must say how incredibly blessed I was to have such a great team this day. I highly suggest Emily Millay Photography, A Charming Fete, MKleinman Artistry, and Lather a Salon (as if these photos weren’t enough proof!) PS – Emily is a traveling photographer.
