Surprise Holiday Elopement Brunch
A holiday elopement brunch? Get out of town, because you just mentioned three of my favorite things. This styled shoot from Jenna Bechtholt Photography and Dandy & Fine Parties pairs a chic brunch celebration with festive holiday decor, using gold and black in the chicest of ways and adding punches of bright red and soft pink floral accents.
From the event designers, Dandy & Fine Parties: We absolutely love elopements celebrated with an intimate group of closest friends. We also love the idea of a wedding brunch, set with a fancy pants mimosa bar. Then add the holiday season in with all of it’s lovely rich jewel tones and soft, velvety textures. And on top of it all, the bride and groom are surprising their friends who have no idea they have just eloped! So, they casually send out their online invitations for a Holiday Celebration to throw them off track. Then, they officially announce their elopement at the first cheers of the morning!
As the guests arrive they are invited to belly up to the Bubbly Bar where they can build their own holiday mimosa in gold sugar rimmed glasses, with a choice of apple cider, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice or rose water. Then they can top it off with extra festive garnishes like cinnamon sticks, sugar dusted cranberries, rock candy sticks, rosemary or pomegranate seeds. Now is the the time for that first cheers of the morning… let the celebrations begin!
It’s time for brunch! Everyone sits down to a table setting decked out in lush, wintry glamour. The black velvet table runner is topped with romantic, voluptuous floral arrangements, and the taper candles in gilded candlesticks add extra regal glamour. Vintage glassware in pops of green and blue jewel tones grace each place setting. The china is topped with cranberry linen napkins carefully tied with black velvet ribbons with gold polka dots and thoughtful, calligraphed name cards. Gilded eucalyptus also makes an appearance to add that last fine detail. To get extra festive, mini green garlands are tied to each chair back. The celebration goes on for hours, pretty much all day, as the bubbles keep flowing! A beautiful wintry day of gathering around the table with the best of friends and celebrating love, that will forever be cherished.
