Seattle New Year’s Eve Wedding
How could you have a New Years’ wedding without a healthy dose of glitter and gold? Rebecca and Andrew married on December 31st of last year in Seattle, and welcomed in the new year as newlyweds with their closest loved ones and – you guessed it – enough glitz to make it a true party wedding. Simply by Tamara Nicole took to the task of making their dream wedding a reality, and Blue Rose Photography handled all the capturing.
From the bride, Rebecca: We decided to marry on New Year’s Eve, 2013 in Seattle, WA in a small, intimate ceremony with close family, friends, and even our little Yorkie, Samson in attendance! God also blessed our family in allowing my father, Joe, to attend and walk me down the aisle. In 2006, my father had a massive brain hemorrhage and was never expected to live to see me married again. But despite his physical and mental disabilities, almost everyone present shed a tear of joy when he walked me down the aisle and gave me away to my love, Andrew. The ceremony was sweet and personal, and we talked about our long journeys and the love that brought us back together.
Bouquet recipe: Roses, Hydrangeas, glitter gold leaves, and so much more. All I know is the bouquet was bigger than I was!
The colors were navy and sparkly gold. The cocktail hour had a custom slider bar, classic Coke bottles, fried okra, kettle chips, and fried pickles in glitter cones. Everyone enjoyed the unique Southern comfort cuisine on the rooftop of the beautiful venue at “Within Sodo” overlooking a view of the city. There was a photo booth for the guests to coincide with their written New Years resolutions. Dinner was served as personal speeches were delivered by close family members. They cut the wedding cake and everyone enjoyed their choice of ten different desserts at the dessert bar. Shortly thereafter, we all changed into more casual attire and the dance party began! At five minutes until midnight, everyone grabbed their noise makers and party hats and made their way to the rooftop. They raised their glasses counting-down until the New Year. The evening ended with all attendees in the street lighting three foot long sparklers to celebrate 2014 and wish us a happy and prosperous life together.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Hire a wedding planner for sure!! Hiring Tamara was the best choice I ever made. She made my dream wedding come to life and kept all stress away from me while making the wedding run so smoothly. I have a friend for life!

From the photographer, Brittany of Blue Rose Photography: Rebecca and Andrew got married on Dec 31. 2013 at Within Sodo. They had an intimate wedding with about 40 guests (including their dog Sampson, bow tie and all). They had an amazing southern inspired meal including macaroni and cheese, and cornbread by Blue Ribbon Cooking. Their planner Tamara Nicole made so many glittery details for their wedding including, personalized sparklers, appetizer glitter cones, glitter to go boxed for the desert, a s’mores bar, champagne bottle save the dates and more ! Rebecca wore three different gowns for each part of the wedding. One traditional lace mermaid gown followed by a long black Alice and Olivia evening gown for dinner, and then a short gold sequin dress by BCBG for the New Years dance party!

This is beautiful. The bride looks absolutely radiant in her gown. The decor is dazzling too. I love it!
Oh so pretty! We love the sparkles and the pretty navy and gold details.

Such stunning colors. Also the venue looks fabulous, love the brick.
Vintage Ambiance provided the 80 year old growth fir farm tables, antique frames, Hungarian counter, Hollywood Regency Lights, French China, antique upholstered furniture, antique steamer trunk, and depression glass cake stands. We worked hard to coordinate with all of the other vendors mentioned.
I love the color palette and those gold glitter envelope liners?! Fire!!!
Love their colours.. the gold really sets it off 🙂
