Scottsdale Wedding Inspiration with Citrus
Just one peek at the ceremony spot for today’s styled shoot and my breath was taken away. Exchanging vows under the canopy of an orange grove couldn’t be any dreamier of an idea! Andrew Jade Photography, Events By Stephanie Antoinette, and The Flower Bar incorporated a romantic Gatsby influence as well, choosing the perfect gown to invoke Old World charm.
From the photographers, Andrew and Emily of Andrew Jade Photography: This stylized shoot was the brain work of well-respected wedding planner, Stephanie Antoinette, talented stationery designer Victoria York, and us – a husband/wife wedding photographer team who love natural light and romantic settings.
While we had many ideas for what they shoot could be, the two themes that kept popping up were a 1920/1930s Great Gatsby/old world theme, and also a theme that incorporated one of Arizona’s famous 5 C’s… Citrus. We chose BOTH and immediately fell in love with our orange and green color scheme with pops of vibrant blue. What we hoped to portray in this shoot is that rustic doesn’t always have to include a farm wedding or a budget-friendly look. There is a such a thing as rustic glam… and the two tie in beautifully together when stylized with colorful tableware, and lots of white florals. We also love the “old world” look and incorporated lots of hidden cogs throughout our design… including hand painted cogs on beautiful macarons.
We chose one of Arizona’s most beautiful wedding venues for our shoot, The Royal Palms Resort, as it is one of the only venues in Scottsdale that has an orange grove and incorporates a lot of citrus into their look. We just love how private and intimate their property is for a wedding — not to mention rustic and romantic! It was the perfect backdrop!
