Romantic Bridal Boudoir Inspiration
This rustic romantic bridal boudoir shoot from A.Fogarty Photography and Field Floral Studio is, hands down, one of the best boudoir shoots we’ve seen yet. There’s a variety of breathtaking lingerie, a floral garter, and a lush bouquet that makes the flower lover in us go wild. Let’s take a look!
From the photographer, A.Fogarty Photography: As “wedding season” here in New England began to slow down I kept dreaming of a romantic styled collaboration for the off-season. I wanted to create an opportunity to step outside the box, spark creativity, and let creative juices flow. A chance to create authentic images that showcased all of the talents of the vendors involved. I dreamt of a rustic romantic bridal boudoir styled collaboration.
I envisioned pastel colors, soft tones, lots of greenery and candles to accentuate the rustic-romantic theme. The contrast of the industrial “Machine Room” at 58 Fore St. paired with the vintage furniture and eye-popping florals made for a swoon worthy back drop for our gorgeous model. This being my first styled collaboration with local vendors I knew I had my work cut out for me. But these vendors nailed my vision and added their own personality and expertise. The details of the mix-matched strung bulb lighting to the calligraphy love note and floral garter this styled session embodies all that a bridal boudoir session should: romance, class & style.
From the floral designer, Field Floral Studio: The transformation of a woman into bride is a tremendous event to celebrate and cherish. The days around a wedding can be one of the very few times in a woman’s life to revel in her beauty, her body, and her attractiveness. Bridal boudoir photo shoots are an essential way to capture this fleeting and magical time. Since so much of wedding planning comes down to tedious logistics, dedicating a couple hours to relishing her body before the ceremony is a wonderful way for brides to get into a more enamored wedding-day mindset.
I chose certain flowers and shapes to enhance the overall vibe, props, and color scheme of the shoot. Knowing the space was quite raw, I wanted romantic draping foliage and flowers with lots of petals to soften the edge of the venue. Likewise, the pale pinks and grays in the palette sweetened the moodiness of the darker plum materials. The bouquet highlighted our bride-model while helping anchor her to the rougher scenes, and the floral garland brought a fluid shape to some of the harder angles. This shoot is a perfect example of how much carefully curated florals can enhance an environment.
Thank you for the feature, Ruffled! This shoot was such a dream.
