Pacific Northwest Wedding with a Secret Waterfall

Newlyweds Riley and Dave hit the jackpot when it came to their ceremony venue — not only were they able to exchange vows with toes in the sand, but they also managed to get some incredible portraits in front of a secret waterfall on the property. From the photographer, Rivkah Photography: Riley and Dave came out from Alberta to have a beautiful West Coast wedding. They got married on the beach at Riley’s late grandparents’ house in Saltair where she spent many summers as a child. A bonus was just behind the house there’s a secret and amazing waterfall! Which we used to snap the Vanity Fair style bridal party shot she was desperate for. The reception was held in Coombs at a beautiful Italian restaurant called Cuckoos which boasts a real live master chef from Italy. The restaurant itself looks straight out of Italy with tall windows, white rooms, Juliette balconies and cafe lights all over the massive patio. Not only that but they catered the whole wedding full Italian family style dinner… but get this… TOTALLY celiac-friendly and you couldn’t even tell!

Funnily enough the wedding was May the 4th and I had never met them before so I wasn’t sure if I was headed into a Star Wars themed wedding or something but turns out it was just the day they met and fell in love forever. I found them truly inspiring. The way they looked at each other gave me hope for love. They were so much fun and photos were something they cared for deeply so they put aside a good chunk of time for us to adventure and play with smoke grenades and the whole nine yards. It was my favourite wedding to date. They were both amazing… they have amazing families you think would of known each other forever and their bridal party was all lovely too. They fed us all day which as a photographer we love!
