Nile Inspired Wedding Ideas
From the delicate jewelry to the Sphinx cat to the buttery images from Debbie Lourens Photography, how could you not be enthralled? Debbie and floral designer extraordinaire Anli Wahl teamed up to create this inspiring shoot with nods to the Nile and springtime colors, and I have to say we’re pretty smitten with the result!
From the photographer, Debbie Lourens: Our main source of inspiration for the Girl of the Nile shoot was definitely our Sphinx cat model, Romeo. We wanted to incorporate a cat in one of our shoots and planned everything around the Egyptian theme. Instead of going with heavy golds and coppers, we wanted to use fresh vibrant colours giving the feel of Spring. We infused corals, mints, and blues with oranges and yellows to get the vibrant colour palette. Because of the rich tones in our shoot we wanted to have our ‘bride’ wear understated clothing with just little pops of colour in her jewellery.
