Mermaid Bride Wedding Inspiration
Mermaids are all the rage right now. Now that warm weather has dawned (for most of us!), the coral pinks and seafoam greens are ideal for the coming seasons. While I have seen an increase in mermaid trends, I haven’t seen them used for weddings or wedding inspiration until now! Chickadee Events and Virginia Ashley Photography certainly put their hard work into this shoot, and I love that the mermaid inspiration really comes through in such an elegant way. The Proper Petal added to the feel by using bright colors in the table blooms with small vases filled with solo stems of flowers; my favorite being those beautiful orchids. Topping it off, of course, was the mermaid silhouette wedding dress that stole the whole show.
From the photographer, Virginia Ashley Photography: When planning the styled shoot, I wanted to go for something mermaid-like! I have been refining my brand and what I want my style to reflect. I wanted this shoot to be a great reflection of my new brand and the type of couples I love! I was thankful for the sweet couple I had for this shoot! Gabrielle was the perfect mermaid inspiration and looked like a dream in the wedding dress!
I also love fun colors and I feel like the different furniture pieces and stunning flowers really tied the shoot together! It was an absolutely yucky day during the photo session (we had sleet/ice on the east coast), but it looked like pure sunshine on the inside! 🙂 Everyone did such a great job making this shoot come to life! They really did a good job making it a colorful and playful, mermaid-inspired shoot! 🙂
