Fiesta Inspired Arizona Wedding
When we need an uplifting boost of color and a beautiful wedding all-in-one, we just look to the lens of Rachel Solomon Photography for that. Arizona is the ideal place to host a wedding with a bold southwest vibe and Toby and David’s wedding is chock-full of pin-worthy details. Victoria Canada Weddings and Events and Butterfly Petals had such creativity going on with this wedding and you can see many examples of it, from the astounding tablescapes to the just-as-phenomenal flower choices. This wedding is a serious A-plus!
From the event planner, Victoria Canada Weddings and Events: We loved helping Toby and David create a wedding that was unique and so different! Toby, who is a graphic designer and designed all the paper goods for her wedding, has an eye for color and we loved her confidence in the bold color choices. The style and feel of their wedding blended perfectly with The Historic El Chorro Lodge, known for its Southwestern flair.
Toby and her mother were very involved in the event planning and design. We loved partnering with them to implement their fun touches. For example, Toby mentioned creating a fun and fresh signature cocktail, and she brought out an inspiration photo and wanted to put her own twist on it. We connected her with a local vendor – Paletas Betty. These Southwest inspired popsicles were placed in a cold glass of Prosecco. The final outcome was unique, pretty and refreshing on a warm wedding day. Toby and her mom Nancy embraced the beautiful and bright colors that are found naturally in the Southwest landscape. The final outcome included dynamic and gorgeous floral centerpieces and floral bougainvillea suspended from the ceiling. What a beautiful day for a wonderful couple!
From the photographer, Rachel Solomon Photography: It was a very hot and sunny day for Toby & David’s El Chorro wedding photos, but that didn’t stop them from having the most fun, bright & colorful fiesta inspired wedding! Fuchsias, cobalts, and more were everywhere you looked and everything blended together perfectly. From the floral, to the paper, to the linens, and the Paletas & Prosecco (yum!!) this stunner was so pleasing to the eye. I asked Toby & David to tell me about when they knew each other was “the one,” and how David proposed:
Toby: I knew pretty early into dating David that he was the one. He was the first guy who I felt like I could be 100% myself around, and someone I always had a good time with.
David: I knew she was the one when I would come back to town after being underway for several weeks (I was in the Coast Guard at the time), and she was the very first person I would rush to see. I knew my life was better when I was with her. We got engaged in Washington, D.C. on Memorial Day. We had flown in to visit Toby’s sister who lives there, and her parents had joined us. My parents and brother live in Virginia and drove in to meet up with all of us for the day. I knew I wanted to ask Toby to marry me, and having our families all together seemed like the perfect time to do it. We were all cooling off at a local brewery after a day of sight seeing, and I got up to give a toast to her sister for hosting such a great weekend. Then I turned to Toby and got down on one knee. She looked totally surprised then she started nodding her head ‘Yes!’
Thank you for sharing this gorgeous wedding! All the vendors did such an amazing job!
