Fall Harvest Friendsgiving Wedding
Breaking bread over delicious treats with good company is exactly how Thanksgiving should be spent. This styled shoot from Tara Bielecki Photography, Liz Wegrzyn, and Posies & Poms blends beautiful wedding style with a feast (both for the eyes and for the palate) beyond our wildest dreams. Have a happy Thanksgiving, all!
From the photographer, Tara Bielecki Photography: This styled shoot was inspired by early Britain harvest festival customs and traditions. Until the 20th century most farmers celebrated the end of the harvest with a big meal called the harvest supper, to which all who had helped in the harvest were invited. We love how this idea marries with the sentiment of celebrating with those who have supported you to cultivate your wedding day. Much like a harvest festival, weddings are a time for us to gather and celebrate the fruits of our labor. A time for us to join around the table, break bread, drink wine, and enjoy the company of the ones we love and are grateful for.
Photographed at the historic Castle Marne in Denver, Colorado, this lava stone home was built in 1889 and added authenticity of the time frame for which our inspiration was richly celebrated. We love the thick stone walls, lush gardens, and intricate detailing around doors and windows, making it perfect for a communal celebration. We chose this Sarah Janks gown from Emma & Grace Bridal as a nod to European elegance. We complimented the beautiful silver beading from the gown with one of a kind jewelry from Arcatus Jewelry. Makeup was inspired by the beautiful plum and fig colors featured in the florals.
I wanted to really bring this shoot to life by incorporating delicious local food fit for the finest harvest celebration. Foodie Call created the perfect holiday meal and the beet soup was an excellent complement to our rich tablescape. No harvest meal would be complete without a buffet full of delectable desserts, which is why Handcraft Bakery crafted the most beautiful ganache, cakes, and candy apples. Our goal was to show how this holiday season can be elevated to an elegant wedding affair with the ones you love.
