Eclectic Wedding Ideas Inspired by Wanderlust
We’re ready for our next vacation, thanks to this beautiful shoot from Elisabeth Arin Photography, Two Roads Event Co., and Botanica. The scene was inspired by adventure and wanderlust, using vibrant colors and bohemian accents to conjure up visions of faraway lands. We’re pretty taken by the antiqued Moroccan lamps over the reception table, and could definitely see them working in our own homes too!
From the event designer, Two Roads Event Co.: There’s something about marriage that plays into our sense of adventure. Saying “I do” means embarking on a journey, facing the unknown together, and bravely moving forward into forever. In the spirit of travel, adventure, and journeys, Hailey Yeager of Two Roads Event Co. and Audrey Chaney of Botanica Floral & Event Design began dreaming up a travel-inspired shoot for the bride and groom that want to infuse a sense of curiosity and wanderlust into their wedding.
This styled shoot showcases how elegant travel-inspired details can be, and how vibrant colors, organic textures, and a bohemian vibe can be juxtaposed to create something magic. We chose Park Winters for our shoot location because it’s in the middle of nowhere… because when you come upon it, you’re immediately overcome with the feeling that you’ve found something really special. And lastly, because arriving at Park Winters evokes the same feeling that you get when you’re traveling with the one you love, where you share an experience and form a memory that you know will stay with you always.
The estate, with its ancient trees, untamed flowering shrubs, and lush foliage served as the perfect backdrop for exotic, bright flowers tucked into eclectic brass vessels, colorful glass goblets, bites infused with mango, key lime, and forbidden sticky rice, and a dip-dyed cake topped with gold elephants. We added a striking bohemian bride dripping in delicate lace and the prettiest gold accents, vintage trunks for a hint of nostalgia, geode and Buddha place settings, whimsical invitations, and eclectic layered tapestries into the mix, and the result was something both strikingly unique and completely transportive.
