Eclectic Appleford Estate Wedding Inspiration

Eclectic was the word of the day for this styled shoot from Jessica Cooper Photography and Falls Flowers. Mismatched chairs, vintage oil lamps, and a mix of fun napkins were all key elements here, playing beautifully against the couple’s modern romantic look. From the event designer, Forget-Me-Not Vintage Rentals: The gorgeous grounds of Appleford Estate in Villanova, PA initially inspired this beautifully eclectic shoot. Even with the lush greenery and bright blooms fallen for the season, florist Alyssa Rainville of Falls Flowers foraged for local berries and stems that added their own rustic charm to all of her designs. The gorgeous bouquet was a blend of these locally harvested items and fresh flowers, creating the perfect woodsy, winter mix. Forget Me Not brought their keen sense of style to the tablescape and ceremony space, playing on the rustic feel of the venue by using their handmade farm table, mismatched chairs, and vintage oil lamps. For a fresh, modern twist, they brought in an eclectic collection of fun napkins, accent pillows and other textiles. Pippa & Fig brought the natural rustic element even more to life with a leather detailed escort display – each guest’s name hand painted on a banner-style leather tag. The invitation suite was a fresh of modern tribal prints and Kraft paper, perfectly complementing our theme. Highlighting the bar top of 13th Street Cocktails, was a reclaimed wood serving tray from Infinite Abyss Handmade. The inlaid tribal design is another perfect nod to the organic modern elements of this shoot. Queen Bee Pastry created a collection of white, textured cakes, giving Falls Flowers another chance to show off their foraged winter finds. Adorable mini Mason jar pies completed Queen Bee’s assortment of desserts, and added the perfect rustic touch.

This bride’s gorgeous auburn tresses were perfectly tousled by Belles and Grooms, giving her a carefree, romantic look. The makeup, by Occasions by Diana, gave her a clean, natural look. Focusing on her glowing, fair skin tone, Diana accented her brows and cheeks staying away from any harsh lines or bold lips. She kept the brides eyes romantic and soft using shadows and a pencil liner. Sweet Caroline designed her custom made separates – choosing a sheer, long sleeve top with lace appliqué, allowing her to have a gorgeous semi-open back, while still remaining modest for the cold weather. A soft tulle skirt, accented with a leather wrap belt, tied this look in perfectly with the overall theme. The bride’s incredible emerald ring from Harry Merrill and Son Jewelers stole the show as the perfect choice for an alternative engagement ring. Harry Merrill’s simple diamond earrings and hand engraved wedding bands added a touch of sophistication. Bel Aire Bridal provided the perfect, woodsy-inspired headpieces and a gorgeous cathedral veil added an air of romance and whimsy. For the groom, we chose a less formal, light gray suit from Generation Tux, accessorized with a black bow tie, skinny black suspenders and a brown oxford shoe.

Taking inspiration from the golds and ambers found in the surrounding winter foliage, Jessica took advantage of the soft warmth of the outdoor light. Even in the bitter cold weather, Jessica was able to capture the glowing love of this gorgeous and playful couple.
