Cloudy Day Wedding Inspiration with a Hand Painted Bridal Gown

Settle in babes, because we’ve got some serious pretty to share with you today! This stunning shoot from Rustic White Photography, Taylor Dawn, and Enemies of the Average takes inspiration from overcast days and uses a hand painted soft blue wedding gown by Leanne Marshall that takes our breath away every time we catch a peek of it. A tablescape with soft white, peachy pinks, and dusty blue adds a touch of organic romance for the cherry on top!

From the event designer, Taylor Dawn: Inspiration for this styled wedding shoot stems from the stunning hand painted design of Leanne Marshall’s Raine bridal top and skirt. This gown encompasses a unique take on the traditional wedding gown, while maintaining the elegance and timeless feel of a classic Leanne Marshall design. While dreaming of the design for this shoot, we wanted to focus on the elements that would be a part of the Grand Canyon on a cloudy day. We sought to bring in some warmer elements to complement the cool shades of the gown, and the floral designs created by Ginny Early of Enemies of the Average did just that. By using natural blooms but with a bit more color composition, the elements of the designs are the perfect compliment to the industrial and minimal feel inside Summerour Studio.

For the paper goods, Meredith Mejerle Rush provided custom floral illustrations tied in through an invitation, detail pieces, as well as hand-painted sketches on the guest napkins. We love showcasing small details that any bride is able to incorporate into her day to give a personal touch. Our tablescape mimics the composition of Summerour Studio paired with ethereal elements through the mix of darker ceramic plates, crisp copper flatware, and organic florals flowing from natural stone vessels. We love the marriage of mixed elements and soft compositions. This creates a timeless expression with fun features that can be easily transferred and incorporated into any brides’ wedding day design.
