Brigitte Bardot Inspired Bridal Brunch
Brigitte Bardot has always been one of my style icons, so when this styled shoot landed in my inbox I had pretty high expectations. Fortunately, Jennifer Trahan and Mandy Forlenza Sticos didn’t disappoint, and pulled off an absolutely stunning styled bridal brunch inspired by the one-of-a-kind Bardot. We love this tablescape especially for a wedding shower!
From the stylist, Mandy Forlenza Sticos: This is it: A sweet soirée filled with fresh flowers, brie, rosemary and fig toast, a little bubbly and a homemade cake topped with daisies, of course. The table is set casually with vintage mismatched gold rimmed china and cut amber glass goblets from Little Vintage Rentals. A linen napkin is loosely tied with lace ribbon, a feather and calligraphy name tags by Fleur de Letters. The flowers are from my favorite wholesaler, Blooms by the Box. The dramatic Free Spirit roses provide the perfect accent to delicate white lisianthus and yellow ranunculus. Seeded eucalyptus add a soft touch in mini vases paired with assorted brass candlesticks. Daisies, almost a signature of Bardot, are scattered about.
Our model Suzanne evokes the naturalistic yet chic image of Brigitte in modern day bohemian clothing from Ruche. The signature black eyeliner and nude lip was used by Adriana Andaluz for most of the shoot and then a coral lip was used later to be paired with our vintage felt hat. Captured beautifully by photographer Jennifer Trahan, a true master of luminosity.
