Born from the Sea Wedding Inspiration
If you’re wondering how to make a beach wedding elegant, look no further than this styled shoot from Lavender & Twine Photography, Shindig Fancy by Crystal Huber, and Rockrose Floral Design. This creative team of California vendors made their way to Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara to put together a wedding so romantic a sea nymph herself couldn’t have planned it better.
From the event stylist, Shindig Fancy by Crystal Huber: “Born from the Sea” was my guiding inspiration throughout the planning of this styled wedding shoot. The coastal elements of floating drift wood, light and frothy sea-foam, fresh seaweed, and cool smooth sand were all incorporated in the details. It all started when Daniele and I fell in love with the airy fabric and soft details of the Parisian Princess Gown from Claire La Faye, and right away knew it deserved to be the centerpiece of a seaside shoot.
With the gown in the back of my mind, I decided on a diverse color pallet of blues, greys, tan, white, green, and a hint of blush and coral. I decided to use create an intimate “sweetheart table” for the bride and groom, creating a tablescape from trinkets and vintage silver goblets that looked like they could have been plucked from the sea. The ladies at Rockrose created a spectacular arrangement in a hand-carved walnut wood bowl for the centerpiece that brought everything together. Everything from the delicate invitation suite and the three-tiered cake brushed with the perfect shade of blue, to the stunning headpieces you see on the bride and the cake came together and brought the entire vision to life.
