Bohemian Aztec Wedding Inspiration
Southwestern style is a trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon, which is totally a-ok by us. Sarah Beth Photography, Alyssa Arlene Events, and Root Floral Design put together this creative styled shoot embracing bohemian and southwestern wedding inspiration, bringing in Aztec elements and handmade details for a truly stylish look. Personally, I’m wild about the handcrafted and dip-dyed macrame shawl!
From the photographer, Sarah Beth Photography: When trying to decide on the theme for this shoot, myself along with Sarah Beth Photography and Root Floral Design knew a couple of things for sure, we wanted a beautiful, bride with a unique look, a sweet flower girl instead of a groom and we wanted the entire shoot to be something completely different than the more traditional weddings we see in South Louisiana.
With Aztec prints taking over everything in the past year, we thought it would be a great idea to mix the vibrant colors of the Southwest with delicately vintage touches. To blend these two styles, we used vintage furniture and place settings from Purely Vintage. Root Floral Design used unique, brightly colored flowers, succulents, cacti and greenery to really tie in the Southwestern Aztec theme. Lily Mac Designs hand painted each of the pieces in the suite while Sky’s the Limit Cakes created a gorgeous two-tiered wedding cake utilizing traditional Southwestern turquoise and tan. Slow Down Productions hand made and hand dyed a macramé piece that was used through out the shoot.
When styling our bride and flower girl, we wanted the look to be effortless and Sposa Bella generously provided both dresses, which, along with natural hair and makeup, really completed the look. Each vendor was encouraged to use their imagination and explore what a vintage/Aztec theme meant to them and I believe that each component came together to beautifully execute the vision. We had a great time working on this shoot together and we are super excited to share the talents of so many amazing vendors!
Love the boho look of this wedding! So stylish and so summery. Especially love the cactus 🙂
