Galia Lahav 2019 Bridal Collection: Queen of Hearts
Nothing garners praise quite like a bridal designer’s ability to combine modern trends with forward-thinking silhouettes in a way that still stands the test of time. Well, my friends, Galia Lahav does just that. So we were pretty darn excited when the sneak peeks for their newest collection, Queen of Hearts, came trickling in. A staple of luxury, couture and ultra femininity, these glamorous wedding dresses are here to slay and here to stay.
From the lead designer, Sharon: This collection draws inspiration from the royalties, by sensationalizing signature Galia Lahav glamour with rubies and gold accents that break free from white-ivory for the fiercest of brides. Galia Lahav’s newest couture line encompasses regal ball gown shapes gone bold, romantic trains mixed with light and dark tulle and classic corsets with bold beading.
Naturally, we thought it’d be fun to play matchmaker with famous engagement rings that have graced the fingers of past royals (real and honorary), pairing them with a few gowns from the new collection. So without further ado, prepare to be stunned:

Remember those “Year of the Millennial” Barbies you kept in the box and stared at longingly forever because it was just that pristine? The Arden gown is equally as show-stopping with an oh-my-gosh-is-this-real-life slit, asymmetrical shape and side bow paired with ruby red heels. And does it not share the same sense of boldness as Jackie K’s famous emerald + diamond stunner?
2. Kate Middleton + Emerson

Classy, timeless and sophisticated in all the right ways, the Emyrson gown reflects all the things we love about the 21st c princess with an heirloom ring from beloved Princess Diana. A sapphire stone set with diamonds, this ring turns heads in the same way the gown does – a unique, sparkly twist on a classic style.
3. Grace Kelly + Mia

L is for the way we love the Mia gown with its dusty mix of light + dark tulle and crystallized off-the-shoulder straps that form more of a romantic drippy loop than a structured strap. As enchanting as Grace Kelly and her 10 carat emerald cut diamond, this dress is made for a star.
4. Queen Elizabeth II + Thea

Floral appliqués are reigning supreme in 2019 bridal collections, and for good reason! The Thea gown is simultaneously modest and sexy with a silhouette we’ll be raving about for years to come. We think it elicits the same kind of tasteful charm as Queen Elizabeth II’s Edwardian gem, which let’s be honest still turns heads today.
5. Elizabeth Taylor + Rhiannon

Total flawlessness in the Rhiannon gown with its embellished loops giving character, dimension and art deco perfection. We love the way the skirt waterfalls into a sparkly pool with grace and ease, and it seems the perfect match for Elizabeth Taylor’s rectangular diamond with tapered baguettes on each side.
Sharon’s biggest piece of advice for brides in the market for a wedding gown?
