Fruit Packing Shed Wedding
Where to begin with this wedding? I could start with the incredibly unique venue choice, a fruit packing shed in Australia, or the colorful handcrafted wedding signs, or even the bride’s eye-catching bejeweled wedding gown, just to name a few points. I think my favorite part of this wedding, though, has to be the couple’s first dance, where the guests wrapped the newlyweds in streamers – such a cute idea! Thanks for your lovely work, Love Katie + Sarah and The Style Co.
From the bride, Renee: We wanted a relaxed yet fun party atmosphere for our wedding. We had a vision that centered around family, food and fun. We believed that every guest that attended the wedding would leave with a smile on their face, a full belly and memories of an amazing celebration of love and family. Our colour theme was pink, white, green, grey and yellow. Basically lots of natural and raw backgrounds with pops of colour.
Bouquet recipe: David Austin Roses, dahlias with foliage and fruit from our family property.
Our bonbonniere was tea infusers with a charm ‘let love brew’, a loose leaf tea and wedding cake. Quite a few hours with the family to attach the charms to the infusers, bag and label the tea and label the boxes made for a yummy treat to guests the enjoy the day after the wedding. My father (Mick) and some staff from the orchard picked two large pear trees in the rain the Wednesday before the wedding. They also managed to get them to stand in fruit bins for an amazing back drop for speeches and centrepiece for the main bar.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Enjoy the process it really is amazing being able to throw a huge party for all the people close to you in your life. Pick the suppliers that you connect with, that way you will have 100% faith in them and you wont be stressing about their services on the day.
