Fun Fort Lauderdale Beach Wedding
It’s all smiles with this fun Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding captured by Elaine Palladino Photography. This adorable bride and groom celebrated their cultures (American and South African) with lots of color and DIY details. They wanted their special day to be a party for everyone, and by the looks of these awesome photos, I’d say it was a success!
From the bride, Bre: We really wanted to show our guests what we are all about. This party was for them, not for us. We love bright colors, lights, laughter and fun. Our wedding had every color under the sun. My family called it Parrot Paradise, we called it One Love.
Did you incorporate any significant details into your wedding? A lot of the details we made ourselves with the help of our families and friends. The koozies had the American and South African Flags combined to showcase our heritage. We used quite a few South African flowers, the food we served (prepared by our friend Arunas) was all of our favorites, and included South African dishes and candies. Our family and friends helped set up all of the decorations. I made the earrings and necklaces for the bridesmaids, while Trent made the Biltong (South African jerky) months before the wedding. We were so fortunate to have so many amazing people wanting to help out with everything.
Any advice for future bride/grooms? Start as soon as possible with your DIY ideas. And don’t sweat the small stuff!
