Evergreen Winter Wedding Dress
One of our favorite things about our job is being able to bring you all things you might not have seen before, and we know for certain we’ve never come across anything quite like this shoot from Nicole Colwell Photography and Gloriosa. In it, the bride wears a skirt made entirely of evergreen branches for a look that fits in perfectly for winter and is the statement piece to end all statement pieces.
From the photographer, Nicole Colwell: When you think of a Winter Wedding three words that come to mind are: Cold. Dead. Snow. I personally love winter weddings. You have so many possibilities to play with the neutral and earthy coloring of the winter season. The most popular theme for a winter wedding is Christmas but I wanted to put a spin on this Christmas Editorial. Most couples think you have to have a winter wedding indoors but we held this festive styled shoot against Sorella Farms outdoor landscape. Instead of doing a white wedding gown with a fur coat, red shawl or a plaid jacket this Winter Bride is wearing an Evergreen Dress.
We paired festive with rustic decor that made this winter wedding warm and charming. Glided evergreens not only hung from this brides wedding gown but was adorned at the sweetheart table and alongside the cake/dessert table. Pops of red showed in the festive paper goods, the wild bouquet as well as the cakes and festive desserts. This bride had a mixture of rustic and festive mixed in with a bohemian flair. This winter shoot was far from cold and dead and was warm and inviting.
