Ethereal Chapel Wedding
Bride Lindsey knew she wanted her wedding day to be both ethereal and classic, and her chosen color palette of green and white helped her achieve this goal. Jen House Design rocked the floral design, while The Compass Points Here captured everything to total perfection for a lifetime of memories!
From the bride, Lindsey: Pretty, ethereal, and classic. That is how I described my vision for our wedding to our florist and I think that is exactly how it turned out. Plus it was a day full of love and laughter which represents our relationship so very well.
We knew we wanted to get married in a church and were thrilled to find a place where the church, venue and accommodations are in one place. When we picked our venue, I knew we needed a subtle color palette and after a little debate I choose gold and white with a bit of green and blush mixed in. I’m so happy that I took a chance on white bridesmaids dresses because the girls looked like angels walking down the aisle. The boys looked incredibly dapper and classic in a tux sans vest with suspenders. My dress was chosen on the second try and I loved that Hayley Paige is a young female designer who truly understands what so many brides want to be on their big day.
We definitely were attracted to young wedding vendors and can’t say enough positive things about them. By the end of the day it felt like we had new friends celebrating with us. It was a dance party like none other. I am a believer in tiny details that have lots of meaning. For that reason I incorporated little things that meant a lot to my husband and I. I carried a broach on my bouquet that my grandpa gave to my grandma. I wore borrowed diamond studs from my other grandmother. We drank out of borrowed crystal champagne flutes. I gave my dad geese cuff-links as he has lovingly nicknamed me Goose since I was a little girl. We included wedding day photos from our family as a part of the decor. I had our florist write the bridesmaid’s names on the ribbons that tied their bouquets and the lyrics to our wedding song on mine. It all meant something on such a meaningful day.
