Elegant Wedding Inspiration at Summerour Studio

If you ever find yourself in Atlanta, Georgia, do yourself a favor and take a peek at the incredible Summerour Studio. One glance at its thoughtful design, and you’ll understand how easy it was for today’s team of A Thomas Photography, Evermore Weddings & Events, and Forage & Flower to be inspired to create this beautiful wedding shoot. A surprise star in this scene is the red anemone, adding character to every floral arrangement, but of course we also have to give a mention to the show-stopping cake by Confection Perfection!

Inspiration takes root in many different forms. Sometimes it’s a color palette, sometimes it’s a dress. For this ultra romantic styled shoot, we were inspired by the wonderfully unique Summerour Studio, located in Atlanta’s exciting Westside. From the bold industrial elements of exposed beams and walls of windows to the charming ivy covered Tuscan-like courtyard with it’s rosemary lined walkway, Summerour Studio provides the perfect backdrop for our palette of rich berry tones, emerald green, antique silver, and soft rose.

Layered among earthy, organic textures of velvet, marble and artisanal free-form stoneware, the head table evoked a lush yet welcoming experience. A gorgeous velvet rose linen from La Tavola added the perfect touch of romance and sensuality. Forage and Flower lined the table with jewel toned blooms and greenery consisting of antique hydrangeas, peonies, anemones and tree ivy in containers of clear glass, marble and speckled stone. Earthenware plates topped with a soft grey napkin were accented with a sprig of pepper berry on each place setting. Lyght House Cocktails prepared a deep plum signature drink in vintage silver rimmed coups garnished with unexpected dragon fruit for the perfect pop of color. A backdrop of billowing dove gray drape and greenery elevated the romantic dreaminess of this elegant yet cozy head table.

The invitation suite by Kelsey Malie Calligraphy reflected the same classic and organic charm with a marble inspired invitation accented with a deep emerald green envelope. One of our favorite details was the couples’ chosen love quote written on the inner envelope. The extremely talented Confection Perfection used the invitation and the venue as inspiration to create a cake that mixed the lush greenery of Summerour with our favorite details from the invitation suite- the marbling and the hand-written love quote. Delicate handmade sugar flowers were placed on the cake to give the final touch of romance. We hope you love this session as much as we do!
