Elegant Latin Hacienda Styled Wedding
The rich colors in today’s styled shoot from Maureen Pacheco Photography, Bodamaestra, and Buttercups Floral Design are a perfect match for the theme, an elegant Latin wedding with a hint of watercolor and breathtaking floral design. We especially love the idea of a drink shot table with various tequilas (and mini bottles of tequilas for the guest favors)!
From the event planner/designer Esme Krahn of Bodamaestra: All of our creatives minds worked so well together. We proudly collaborated almost in every single design aspect. We couldn’t find a more authentic venue to feature our Elegant Latin Wedding than Morais Vineyards & Winery. Located about an hour southwest of Washington D.C. in a beautiful part of rural Virginia, the architecture of this hidden gem reflects the Morais family’s Portuguese heritage. From the rustic yet elegant tasting room to the magnificent Grand Ballroom to the romantic outdoor spaces, this amazing venue is filled with warmth and luxury. We choose marsala, gold, ivory, peach, green and red shades to bring together a sophisticated look with all the drama and romanticism often overlooked in a Latin wedding. Our special touches included lace finishes, Spanish fans, and golden decor. We wanted to move away from your typical Cinco-de-Mayo wedding theme while at the same time retaining an authentic Latin feel.
The result of the initial design was interpreted to perfection by Wave Crest Calligraphy. Our wedding invitation, which was created in watercolor, incorporated all the beautiful colors of our palette. In addition to the stationery, Kim designed the Bride and Groom’s wooden signs, menu and escort cards, adding the perfect cultural touch. Buttercups Floral Design incorporated parrot tulips, hellebores, mums, ivy, spray roses, and ranunculus to create the bride’s bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, centerpieces, and our distinctive floral piñata. Laura skillfully designed a custom birch-wood stand for the piñata, which framed our sweetheart table in a elegant and unique way. We chose an absolutely stunning Angel Rivera gown from Soliloquy Bridal Couture – which our Venezuelan model wore to perfection. The Mantilla Company, provided the perfect complement to our spectacular dress – a cathedral-length Spanish mantilla. This veil is made with soft tulle and beautiful French Chantilly lace.
Creating such a detailed array of sweets for this shoot was an art. Simply Elegant Delights meticulously produced cake pops, candied apples, chocolates and rice crispy treats, all in harmony with the wedding theme. Gateau Distinctive Cakes, designed a sleek, organic wedding cake. The innovative creation featured a white-lace appliqué over fondant in ivory using gold ribbon between each tier. Natural flowers were the final touch for Gateau’s simple and elegant masterpiece.
